We arrived in Puerto Madryn, in the province of Chubut, today.  We were greated at the airport by an enormous penguin.  This area is known for the impressive penguin colony and the whales and other sea creatures that live here.   It is so different from Jujuy.  Our hotel room faces the ocean and it is gorgeous!  The weather is perfect.  It is about 75 degrees and sunny.  The beach is packed with people and there is a very lively paseo marítimo, a boardwalk, that is very picturesque. We left Jujuy on Saturday morning.  It was a rainy day. It seemed like the weather reflected how we were feeling.  It was very meloncholy as we were at the airport not knowing when (or if!) we would return to Jujuy. Happily we were able to see my cousins in Buenos Aires last night.  That made the day much happier than it would have been. Now we are starting our adventure in Patagonia.  It is very exciting!  It is a place I had only dreamed of visiting!
