I am writing from Puerto Madryn this morning.  It is a gorgeous summer day!  Yesterday we went to the national park to see the Magallanes Penguin colony.  It was spectacular!  Better than words could describe. There were thousands of penguins, babies and adult penguins.  The site was breathtaking.

The day before we went to the Valdes Penninsula.  We took a boat out into the bay to see the marine life.  The water was crystal clear!  We were able to see the elephant seals, but the whales are gone for the season.

This area of Argentina is so different from the north.  The contrast is striking.  Tonight we are off to Tierra Del Fuego, the city of Ushuaia, which claims to be the southern most city of the world.
