Scoring
The points in the chart above go directly onto your average at the end of the grading period. You can do up to three of these over the course of a
semester. Example: Your average is an 88 (B+). You complete a large poster and talk to the class about it. Your average goes up to 90. That's an A-! Creation of science apparatus
You may make prior arrangements with me to do an extra special
project. An example of this is to make a durable piece of science
equipment for use in future years. In the past students have made
beds of nails, model catenary arches and other elaborate projects.
Partners
You may do an extra credit assignment with a partner. If the project
really shows a lot of work and quality, both partners will get the full
share of points. If the assignment is just ok, both partners will split
the points given.
