Please bring in your 3 subject notebook divided into these sections Classwork/ Notes; Vocabulary; Homework by tomorrow.

Every Tuesday you will be writing about your weekend. You should be prepared with the vocabulary you will want to use in your paragraph. When you come into class on Tuesday you should immediately begin writing. You will have 7-10 minutes to write and check over your work. You may have your notebook open with new vocabulary that you want to use. These writings will be kept in a 1 inch binder that you will leave in school. I will be using this to evaluate your progress throughout the semester

    Do rewrites with the corrections of the CIty Project that I returned today. Keep it in a folder or your computer file, at home. These sentences are what you will be using for the power point at the end of the semester. So, don't lose the corrections. It is a good idea to rewrite it now, so that you are totally done with that section.

Remember to be working on your powerpoint and your brochure that are due in January. You should be starting to practice what you are going to say to the class on the day of your presentation.

anyone absent from class today should rent and see the first 25 minutes of the movie Under the Same Moon it is widely available through Blockbuster or Netflix. Since we do not have class on Monday, I am expecting you to have seen it by Tuesday's class. Take notes, focusing on the characters (los personajes) and the plot (la trama). We will be discussing the movie, in Spanish, using the past tense, and thinking of descriptions of the characters using adjectives. At the end of the movie, we will talk about the future of all of the characters.

Spanish III City Project :work on your presentation for January. Friday, Jan. 8-Completed powerpoint is due. It should be sent to me by email. Remember that it will be played on a PC, so that if you are working on a mac computer you must save your photos on your desktop and then put them in manually. You cannot merely drag the photos into the powerpoint.

On the day of your 10 minute presentation you must bring in 12 copies of your brochure to pass out to the class. The schedule for the presentations:

this week, after each presentation I would like you to write a short paragraph, in English, evaluating the different presentations, with constructive criticism for your classmates. Please include one positive thing about the presentation, and one thing they should work on for the future when they have oral presentations.

Also, after your own presentation, please write a self-evaluation (reflexion) on your project and how you think it went, not only the oral part but for the entire project. Do you think you did your best work? Then, say why. If you think you could have done better, then say why you think so.

You must hand in your reflexions and your critiques the day after each presentation.

Next week we will begin with Susana y Javier on Tuesday. Please bring the book in. There is no other written assignment due on Tuesday other than the critiques and reflexions for the students who presented on Thursday.
