Mr. Richer's Algebra Class

Some things to remember for our quiz on Friday:

When you multiply terms with the same base and different exponents you add the exponents.

When you raise an exponent by another exponent you multiply.

When you divide terms with different exponents you subtract exponents.

(I'm sorry that the first answers are upside down...)

This is the extra credit questions that will be on the quiz tomorrow:

1) Mathematically explain why  1 divided by X (to the negative 2nd power) = X (to the second power) over 1.

2) Mathematically explain why a quotient raised to a negative power flips and becomes a quotient raised to a positive power.
